Pitfalls of Buying Property in Dubai
Thanks to low taxes, Dubai and Abu Dhabi have become a hub for property investment. Still, there are a few things to know before you decide to buy property in Dubai.

On the one hand, there is no property tax in Dubai, but there are fees you should know about:
  • Registration fee, paid by the seller and the buyer: 4% of the property price. By agreement, the buyer alone can pay it.
  • Registration charge: a one-off payment of 2,000 AED for a property worth up to 500,000 AED.
  • Title deed (certificate of ownership): $70.
  • 1% of the loan amount if you take a mortgage in Dubai.
