Good Conduct Certificate for 50 AED instead of 220 AED
If you are applying for an Advertiser Permit from the UAE Media Council to work legally with brands and barter collaborations, you already know that a Good Conduct / Police Clearance Certificate is one of the required documents.
Most creators go to the Dubai Police app out of habit and pay 220 AED. But you can get a federal certificate for just 50 AED in the MOI (Ministry of Interior) app.
Step by step
- Download the MOI UAE app and log in with UAE Pass.
- In Services, choose “Issuance of Criminal Clearance Certificate”.
- Choose the purpose “Inside UAE” and the reason “Permit/License”.
- Pay 50 AED by card or Apple/Google Pay. The PDF certificate arrives in your email within minutes.
Who it suits, and the Dubai catch
- Who it suits: the federal MOI certificate works well if your trade license or visa was issued in a free zone of another emirate (for example Ajman or Sharjah), or if you apply through the federal Media Council portal, which accepts federal documents.
- The Dubai catch: Dubai runs its own police system, so you cannot choose Dubai as the issuing emirate in the MOI app. If your e-Trader license is issued by DED Dubai and the system asks for a local document, you will still need the Dubai Police certificate for 220 AED.
- Validity: the MOI certificate is valid for 30 days, the Dubai Police certificate for 3 months. Apply right before you submit your permit forms, not earlier.
